Flower Care
How to Get the Most Life Out of Your Flowers
- Check the water level upon arrival. Keep the arrangement water level within 1” of the rim daily.
- Place you flowers away from hot or cold areas as well as direct sunlight.
- For maximum longevity, change out water and re-cut stems every 2 to 3 days.
- If the water ever appears cloudy, change out the water immediately.
- Add the provided flower food packet at the first water change.
- As Lilly blooms open, remove the pollen filled stamens.
- Ensure your arrangement is ONLY placed on a water-resistant surface or on top of a protective base.
Care Instructions for Your Wrapped Bouquet
- Start with a clean vase. Fill 3/4 full of warm water and add flower food.
- Completely unwrap your bouquet. If there are plastic water tubes on the end of the stems, set aside to recycle or re-use.
- Remove any leaves that will be under the water line, approximately 2/3 up the stem. Leaves left in the water can start the growth of bacteria and shorten the life of your flowers.
- Cut 1” from the end of each stem at an angle with sharp clippers. We re-cut stems to open them so the flowers will drink up the most water.
- You can also cut the stems underwater for the most water uptake. To do this, fill a sink or a large bowl with warm water. Hold the stem upright with the bottom underwater. Use sharp clippers to make an angled cut underneath the water. Immediately place the flower in the prepared vase.
- Either place the flowers bound together directly in the vase or cut the bouquet apart to create your own design.
- Place your flowers away from heat hot or cold spots as well as direct sunlight.
- Add water daily as needed to within 1” of the rim.
- For maximum longevity, change out the water and re-cut the stems every 2 to 3 days.
